LTE mobile data
What is LTE?
In telecommunications, Long-Term Evolution is a standard for wireless broadband communication for mobile devices and data terminals, based on the GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSPA standards. It improves on those standards’ capacity and speed by using a different radio interface and core network improvements. LTE is commonly used to bring internet connectivity wirelessly to a location.
What is an APN Connection?
An Access Point Name (APN) is the name of a gateway between a GSM, GPRS, 3G and 4G/LTE mobile network and another computer network, frequently the public Internet. A LTE connection with an APN will provide a secure non-internet facing connection to protect and secure the data or VoIP network.
